Qualifications

• Must pass the District’s Instructional Assistant/Student Attendant exam or CBEST.
• Graduation from high school or equivalent.
• Probationary employees are not eligible for voluntary transfer during the initial 6 months, per Article 11.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers by working with individual students on a one-to-one basis.
• Assist with small groups to reinforce and enhance learning activities.
• Demonstrate and model appropriate learning and social behaviors.
• Maintain confidentiality of student information.
• Operate computer or AV equipment.
