Bowling Green Independent Schools is seeking an Instructional Assistant Sp Ed for W.R. McNeill Elementary School in Bowling Green, KY.

This full-time role supports students with disabilities under teacher supervision, implements instructional strategies, and assists with daily activities and safety measures. The position runs 182 days for the full year, with a 7-hour workday, and starts immediately for the 2026-2027 school year.

Formación

• Requires 48 college hours, or a high school diploma with Kentucky Paraeducator Assessment (KPA).
• Ability to assist with implementing instructional strategies and adapting materials.
• Capacity to lift 30–50 pounds and perform physical tasks as needed.

Responsabilidades

• Under guidance of a teacher, implement learning strategies and prompting procedures.
• Assist with adapting learning materials for students with different abilities and backgrounds.
• Support teachers in implementing behavior plans and maintaining student progress records.
• Perform routine clerical duties and prepare instructional materials.
• Supervise students with disabilities in academic and non‑academic settings.
• Assist with personal hygiene and daily routine tasks for physically disabled students.
• Ensure safety and supervise lunch, library, and playground activities.
• Maintain confidentiality and act as a positive PR representative for school programs.
