Job summary

Bayshore Elementary in La Porte, Texas is seeking an Aide, SPED FOCUS Elementary to assist teachers with classroom activities, self-help, and behavior management under the direction of a certified teacher. This role supports the FOCUS Life Skills program and general instruction.

The position is full-time, with a pay range of $14.31 to $20.17 per hour, 187 assigned days, and district health insurance contributions of $400 per month for employee-only coverage.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid SBEC Educational Aide certificate.
• Associate's Degree or 48 or more college hours or NCLB ParaEducator Certification issued by San Jacinto College or other local educational entity.

Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher in preparation and management of classroom activities and administrative requirements.
• Assist in the implementation of classroom programs, including the FOCUS (Life Skills) Program, self-help, behavior management and instruction.
• Work under the general supervision of the supervisor and the immediate direction of a certified teacher. Other duties as assigned.

Education
