Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) is seeking an IEP Coordinator to support students with academic, social, and behavioral needs in special and alternative education settings nationwide.

You will coordinate IEP teams, maintain databases, plan transitions, assist with recruiting and onboarding, and collaborate with school staff, families, and districts to drive positive outcomes.

Formación

• Coaching staff experience preferred.
• Strong professional communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to record and analyze data using spreadsheets and cloud tools.

• Maintain close working relationships with school districts, parents and community.
• Provide and monitor crisis intervention at the school.

Realize the joy of possibility by providing academic, social, and emotional services for students who need additional support to shine in school. Utilize SESI’s proven instructional models, strategies, and curriculum. Conduct frequent and appropriate assessments, use data to develop and implement instructional plans, and collaborate with school teams and families to drive outcomes. The IEP Specialist will work closely with the Director and resource team to coordinate and evaluate the educational program. The Instructional Specialist will act as a mentor and resource to the classroom staff and work closely with all departments on implanting the educational programs. In conjunction with the school Director, this position will be a key player in recruiting, interviewing, selecting, and overseeing the onboarding of new staff.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with classroom staff to coordinate, manage, assess needs and determine student assignment in regards to special education programs
• Assist Principal with recruiting, interviewing and on-boarding new campus staff members
• Develop and implement transition planning and services/Indicator 13
• Maintain IEP database and student file scan database
• Prepare and attend students’ IEP meetings, assure documentation is accurately completed prior to the meeting and provide on-going monitoring to ensure ISBE compliance of students’ IEPs
• Plan and implement staff and parent education relating to special education programs
• Maintains close working relationship with school district, parents and community
• Provide and monitor crisis intervention at the school

  Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree
  • SPED Teacher Cert or Principal Cert
  • Experience working with similar population in a school setting preferred
  • Experience working with staff in a coaching capacity
  • Strong professional communication skills both oral and written
  • Ability to record and analyze data utilizing excel and google drive

  Posted Salary Range

  USD $70,000.00 - USD $80,000.00 /Yr.
