Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 30 semester hours of college coursework from a regionally accredited college
• Bachelor’s Degree from accredited college or university preferred
• Some experience working with children
• 30 semester hours required

Responsibilities

• The Associate Teacher is responsible for day-to-day instruction in the classroom and provides students with learning activities
• Develop and implement lesson plans reflecting accommodations for individual differences
• Present subject matter per TEA guidelines and district policies
• Plan and supervise teacher assistants and volunteers
• Use technologies in the teaching/learning process
• Establish a positive classroom environment and protect student safety
