Job summary

Lake Dallas Independent School District in Texas seeks a dedicated Aide-SPED-Life Skills/PPCD to support students with disabilities inside and outside the classroom. You will assist with IEP implementation, self-help skills, behavior management, and instructional activities under teacher supervision.

Responsibilities include wheelchair transfers, positioning, personal care, lunchroom and playground duties, and maintaining confidentiality while supporting students' physical and instructional

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree or two years of college preferred.
• Valid Texas educational aide certificate.
• Ability to work with children with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Help meet the individual needs of students including transferring to and from wheelchairs; lifting and positioning; assisting with personal care and feeding.
• Assist with implementing IEPs, behavior management, and instructional programs under supervision.
• Monitor and support students during meals, bus, recess, and classroom activities.
• Keep teachers informed of student needs and progress; follow safety and district procedures.
