Job summary

Air Force Research Laboratory in Dayton, Ohio is seeking a Telecommunications Specialist to join the Operations Division and support spectrum policy, regulation, and certification for a multi-billion dollar AFRL portfolio.

You will provide SME guidance on spectrum management, analyze RF usage, coordinate equipment certification, and oversee certification processes with relevant DoD and NTIA tools, with eligibility for situational telework as allowed by policy.

Qualifications

• Citizenship in the United States is required.
• At least one year of specialized experience at the next lower grade or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain and maintain the required security clearance.
• Males must be registered for Selective Service.

Responsibilities

• Provides SME guidance and regulatory interpretation on spectrum management and frequency issues for AFRL and contractors.
• Independently analyzes spectrum utilization to develop better policies and procedures for RF spectrum protection.
• Compiles and champions spectrum requirements for telecommunication programs and special projects.
• Leads preparation and review of Applications for Equipment Certification using current National Level software systems.
