Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Hospital Specimen Technician in Chicago, IL, Monday to Friday, 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM, with rotational weekends. The role involves specimen preparation in a hospital setting, ensuring accuracy and timely processing, and acting as a liaison between hospital staff and Quest Diagnostics.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of related experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and strong data entry and communication skills.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient specimens in a hospital setting with minimal direction.
• Handle specimen flow and sample preparation per policies.
• Interpret specimen flow/tracking data using available reports.
• Assist with supply ordering and remote accessioning as needed.
• Provide proactive customer support and liaise with hospital staff.
