Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Specimen Processor to join our team in Burlington, NC. The role involves preparing specimens for analysis, routing and labeling, and ensuring timely data entry and documentation. You will work in a fast-paced production environment with a team-focused approach.

Minimum qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, with preferred 3+ months in specimen processing or medical/lab experience. Overtime and shift needs may arise based on business demands.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3 months or more of specimen processing experience preferred.
• 3 months or more of medical or laboratory experience preferred.
• Comfortable handling biological specimens and working in a fast-paced lab environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing.
• Unpack and route specimens to staging areas.
• Identify and label specimens accurately.
• Pack and ship specimens to testing facilities.
• Meet department activity and production goals.
• Prepare and store excess specimen samples.
• Data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Resolve and document any problem specimens.
