Job summary

Labcorp in Rome NY is seeking a Specimen Processor II to join our team in Rome, NY. The role supports specimen preparation, labeling, and shipping, with a Monday–Friday schedule 10:00 am to 7:00 pm and alternating weekends and holidays.

You will handle biological specimens, perform data entry, and maintain accuracy while collaborating with client offices to meet departmental production goals. A high school diploma and 1+ year relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent required.
• 1 year or more experience in lab, accessioning, data entry, manufacturing, or warehouse helpful.

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing.
• Communicate effectively with client office staff.
• Research, troubleshoot and resolve customer and specimen problems.
• Meet department activity and production goals.
• Data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Identify and label specimens.
• Pack and ship specimens to testing facilities.
• Scrub requisitions to ensure samples are prepared and updated.
