Labcorp in Mobile, AL is seeking a Specimen Processor I to support high-throughput accessioning, sorting and data entry. The role requires attention to detail and the ability to work Monday through Friday from 6:00pm to 11:00pm.

Responsibilities include preparing specimens, labeling, routing, and ensuring accurate data entry, with emphasis on quality and timely processing in a fast-paced laboratory environment.

LabCorp is seeking a Specimen Processor I to join our team in Mobile, AL. Are you organized, accountable, and have always gone the extra mile to make sure things are done right? The Specimen Processor I will be responsible for performing clinical specimen accessioning, sample sorting and data entry in a fast-paced, high-throughput environment according to established standard operating procedures.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 6:00pm - 11:00pm

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing
• Unpack and route specimens to their respective staging areas
• Accurately identify and label specimens
• Pack and ship specimens to proper testing facilities
• Meet department activity and production goals
• Properly prepare and store excess specimen samples
• Data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Resolve and document any problem specimens

Minimum Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year or more experience (lab, accessioning, production, manufacturing or warehouse environment)
• 1 year or more of medical or production experience

Additional Job Standards

• Comfortable handling biological specimens
• Ability to accurately identify specimens
• Experience working in a team environment
• Strong data entry and organizational skills
• High level of attention to detail
• Proficient in MS Office
• Able to lift up to 40lbs.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
