Job summary

Labcorp in Flowood, MS is seeking a Specimen Processor I to join our team. You will prepare specimens for analysis, unpack and route to staging areas, accurately label and track samples, and help meet daily production goals in a fast-paced lab environment.

The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent and prior experience in a lab, production, or warehouse setting is preferred. Proficient data entry and attention to detail are essential, with the ability to lift up to 40lbs.

LabCorp is seeking a Specimen Processor I to join our team in Flowood, MS

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 4:00pm-10:00pm with weekend morning rotation at St Dominic.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing
• Unpack and route specimens to their respective staging areas
• Accurately identify and label specimens
• Pack and ship specimens to proper testing facilities
• Meet department activity and production goals
• Properly prepare and store excess specimen samples
• Data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Resolve and document any problem specimens

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 or more years relative experience (lab/accessioning, production/manufacturing/warehouse environment) 1 or more years of medical or production experience
