Job summary

Labcorp seeks a Specimen Processor I for Edison, NJ. Work schedule: Mon–Fri 7:00pm–3:30am with rotating Saturdays. You will prepare and route laboratory specimens, accurately identify and label them, and manage data entry to support high-throughput testing.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED and can involve lifting up to 40 lbs. Prior lab or warehouse exposure is preferred, with strong attention to detail and teamwork.

Labcorp is seeking a Specimen Processor I to join our team in Edison, NJ. Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 7:00pm – 3:30am, and rotating Saturdays

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing
• Unpack and route specimens to their respective staging areas
• Accurately identify and label specimens
• Pack and ship specimens to proper testing facilities
• Meet department activity and production goals
• Properly prepare and store excess specimen samples
• Data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Resolve and document any problem specimens

Minimum Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year or more experience (lab, accessioning, production, manufacturing or warehouse environment)
• 1 year or more experience of medical or production experience

The Specimen Accessioner will be responsible for performing clinical specimen accessioning, sample sorting and data entry in a fast-paced, high-throughput environment according to established standard operating procedures.

Pay Range: $17.75 - $19.00 per hour 2nd shift differential All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.

• Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
