LabCorp is seeking a Specimen Processor to join our team in Irving, TX (75061)

Work Schedule: Monday - Thursday 8:00am - 5:00pm; Friday 8:30am - 1:30pm (additional hours / rotating Saturdays may be requested as needed)

Job Responsibilities
  • Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing
  • Unpack and route specimens to their respective staging areas.
  • Accurately identify and label specimens
  • Pack and ship specimens to proper testing facilities
  • Meet department activity and production goals
  • Properly prepare and store excess specimen samples
  • Data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
  • Resolve and document any problem specimens
  • Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups (as needed)
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1 year or more lab specimen processing / accessioning experience
  • 6 months or more phlebotomy experience working in a clinical / hospital environment
  • Current or prior LabCorp experience

  • Able to pass a standardized color blind test
  • Able to work in a fast paced / high volume work environment

  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment
  • Comfortable working under minimal supervision
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed

This role will work in our client's office setting to perform clinical specimen accessioning, sample sorting and data entry in a fast-paced, production output environment according to established standard operating procedures, and be the face of the company. In addition, you will be provided opportunities for continuous growth within the organization.

Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.
