Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to walk 3-5 miles, climb and descend 6 flights of stairs, lift up to 10 lbs., and bend at approximately a 45-degree angle multiple times within an eight-hour shift required.
• Ability to perform repetitive motion.

Responsibilities

• Specimen Processing and Handling: Transport specimens from inpatient units, receive, sort and distribute to work benches.
• Computer Data Entry: Enter laboratory test orders into the computer system and scan requisitions.
• Process Mi-Chart Orders: Print labels, manage add-test requests and reconcile unreleased orders.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure quality of all order entry performed by Specimen Processing.
