Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Lab Assistant at Shelton, CT to support specimen handling, testing preparation, and accurate data entry in a fast-paced laboratory setting.

You will work Tuesday to Saturday 4:00am–12:30pm, ensuring SOPs are followed, equipment is maintained, and records are kept up to date. The role emphasizes attention to detail, teamwork, and safety in a production laboratory environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic computer data entry skills and familiarity with standard office software.
• Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced laboratory environment.
• Comfort handling biological specimens and following SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Receive and sort clinical lab specimens.
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis.
• Scan and data entry of specimen and patient information.
• Ensure lab equipment is functioning and perform minor maintenance.
• Troubleshoot specimen-related issues and replenish test bench supplies.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and complete logs.
