Job summary

Labcorp in Portland, OR is seeking a dedicated Specimen Management Associate to support lab operations and ensure accurate specimen handling, labeling, and triage for analysis.

You will liaison with clients and patients, resolve requests, and maintain high data integrity while working in a team environment; required HS diploma; multiple benefits apply; undergo physical demands like lifting up to 40 lbs.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • 6 months of medical/clinical laboratory experience preferred.
  • Associates degree is preferred.
  • Current or prior Labcorp experience is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Familiarity with laboratory operations and policies.
  • Comfortable handling biological specimens.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.
  • Experience working in a team environment.
  • Strong data entry and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office.

  • Pack and ship specimens as necessary.
  • Prepare and store excess specimen samples.

Labcorp is seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join their Specimen Management team in Portland, OR.

Work Schedule

Tuesday - Saturday 3:00am-11:30am, Rotating Sunday Coverage if needed.

Job Responsibilities
  • Act a liaison between the lab, clients, and patients.

Minimum Qualification
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Preferred Qualification
  • Current or prior Labcorp experience
  • Associates degree
  • 6 months of experience in a medical/clinical laboratory experience
