Job summary

IQVIA Laboratories in Valencia, CA is seeking a Specimen Management Associate 2 to manage receipt, accessioning, storage and shipment of clinical specimens. You will ensure accurate handling and support onboarding of junior staff while maintaining freezer inventories.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma (Bachelor’s preferred for some CAP/CLIA sites), and 6 months of related experience with basic computer systems. Strong attention to detail and cross-functional teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; some CAP/CLIA locations may require a Bachelor’s Degree in chemistry, biology, or medical laboratory technology
• 6 months of related experience preferred
• Basic computer skills and the ability to work with internal systems and procedures
• Knowledge of specimen accessioning, inventory management, storage, and shipment processes
• Other equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree

• Monitor supplies and communicate shortages to the appropriate stakeholders

Job Summary:

Physical Demands
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, frequent standing and walking, occasional sitting, close eye work requirement (computer, typing, reading small prints). Physical demands vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks. Occasional exposure to cold temperatures.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $35,900.00 - $74,800.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
