Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day processes in the Pathology Department/Clinical Laboratory.
• Follow procedures for specimen handling, processing, test analyses, reporting and record-keeping.
• Maintain records that demonstrate proficiency-testing samples are tested like patient specimens.
• Adhere to quality control policies; document calibrations and maintenance.
• Identify problems affecting test performance or reporting and report appropriately.
• Order and maintain supplies and consumables inventory.
• Document corrective actions when test systems deviate from performance specs.
