Job summary

Millennium Health in Seattle, WA, is seeking a Full-Time Specimen Collector II for observed collections of gender identified female patients. Schedule is Monday–Friday 5:30am–2:30pm, with travel as needed.

Ideal candidates have experience in specimen collection or medical support, plus strong customer service, digital literacy, and HIPAA awareness. Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to lift up to 20 lbs.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of specimen collector experience or 1+ years in medical field
• 2+ years of customer service experience
• Ability to navigate smartphone and computer
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Knowledge of medical billing/diagnostic codes is a plus
• Commitment to HIPAA/HiTrust/compliance and confidentiality

Responsibilities

• Collect patient urine and/or oral fluid specimens
• Process and package collections for shipping
• Serve as liaison between practice/clinic and laboratory
• Record patient information, orders and lab data
• Resolve specimen concerns related to billing or patient data
• Order and maintain collection supplies onsite
• Observe collections when required; travel to multiple facilities
