Job summary

Fisher Barton in Watertown, WI is seeking a Specialty Weld Associate 1 for the 3rd shift. The role involves learning robotic welding, using calipers and height gauges, and performing quality-controlled metal fabrication work. Ability to stand and operate heavy machinery is required.

You will follow safety and quality procedures, work within production teams, and contribute to a culture of customer excellence and fairness.

Responsibilities

  • Adhering to Fisher Barton Safety and Quality procedures and regulations and business code of ethics
  • Producing assemblies of metal work pieces to quality standards, repetitively lifting and placing pieces into fixtures, removing completed assemblies
  • Reading control plans and prints to determine specifications, parts, fixtures, placement, dimensions and tolerances, labeling
  • Accurately completing all required functions to ensure only quality product is produced and shipped to customers
  • Safely finishing functions such as grinding, sanding
  • Performing operator maintenance and/or 5S housekeeping

You will do this by:

  • Adhering to Fisher Barton Safety and Quality procedures and regulationsand business code of ethics

Physical | Visual Demands:

  • Able to stand 8-12 hours a day
  • Able to sit, stand, squat and bend
  • Reach overhead with one or both arms
  • Able to work quickly and swiftly with large, heavy machinery and products
  • Repetitive movement of lifting and placing parts on machines / up to 15 pounds
  • Able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
  • Able to occasionally push/pull up to 75 pounds
