Summary:

Under moderate direction and supervision, underwrites and markets assigned products by providing intermediate levels of risk assessment and technical underwriting expertise to determine underwriting acceptability. A typical day will include the following: Assists with gathering and analyzing information, applies appropriate underwriting techniques necessary to make an accurate evaluation of risk acceptability. Prepares and participates in marketing activities for business development and relationship building. Prepares underwriting submissions, making recommendations and/or decisions within established authority limits. Participates in the producer management process which may include, but is not limited to, premium collections.

Qualifications:

3+ years underwriting experience required. Previous primary casualty underwriting experience preferred. Demonstrated marketing and agency development skills/experience required. Analytical, results-oriented and possess a strong sense of urgency. Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
