Job summary

CommonSpirit Health's CHI St. Vincent in Arkansas seeks a Specialty Surgical Tech to join the operating room team. You will prepare the OR, assist the surgeon, manage instruments and supplies, and maintain a sterile field to ensure patient safety.

Requires completion of an approved surgical technology program or practical nursing core perioperative curriculum, plus CPR within 30 days. A $5,000 sign-on bonus and relocation assistance are offered.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing with attendance of the core curriculum for perioperative nursing or equivalent training, upon hire or
• Graduate of an approved surgical technology program (one or two year program), upon hire
• Basic Life Support - CPR, within 30 Days

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a Specialty Surgical Tech, you will function as an integral team member across all phases of the surgical procedure. Your role is vital for seamless transitions and comprehensive patient care.

Every day you will collaborate with the surgical team, meticulously preparing the operating room, assisting the surgeon, and managing instruments and supplies. You will maintain a sterile field and anticipate team needs for efficiency and patient safety. Must be able to rotate call and report within 30 minutes, if called for a procedure.

To be successful, you will demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and effective performance under pressure. Your commitment to teamwork and sterile technique will be paramount for safe and successful surgical outcomes.

We are offering a $5,000 sign on bonus to hires who meet the eligibility requirements. We also offer referral incentives as well as excellent benefits, tuition reimbursement, and relocation assistance.
