The Outpatient Pharmacist provides medications and counseling upon presentation of a prescription prescribed by a registered healthcare practitioner to the patients, ensuring accuracy and safety while monitoring for any intervention that might be needed. The pharmacist also counsels and recommends over the counter products to our patients assuring there are no pharmacologic or physiologic contraindications. In addition, they maintain sound accounting practices and oversee the process in the outpatient pharmacy. The Outpatient Pharmacist must be able to provide top notch customer service to the customers while being an educational resource for them. The outpatient pharmacist may be required to be on call to support the specialty pharmacy. Demonstrate respect, dignity, kindness and empathy in each encounter with all patients, families, visitors and other employees regardless of cultural background.
Graduate from NABP accredited pharmacy college
Current US pharmacist license in state where work is being performed.
