NATURE AND SCOPE
Under the direction of the Sports Director(s), the Sports Specialty Instructor is responsible for implementing sport-specific training and skill development. The Sports Specialty Instructor demonstrates and explains the skills and rules of sports to individuals or groups. They help beginners learn basic rules, stances, grips, movements, and techniques of a game and assist experienced athletes in sharpening their skills.
This position must perform duties in accordance with the policies, goals, mission, values, and objectives established by the Metropolitan Atlanta YMCA. Emphasis will be placed on member service, program knowledge, member/staff safety, and communication with members and staff.
