ProTec is seeking a field-based Janitorial Technician in San Diego to assist the team leader with specialty cleaning tasks, operate company vehicles, and ensure safety standards.

This role requires experience in janitorial services, the ability to lift 25 pounds, and reliable transportation. Overtime, some nights and weekends, and strong teamwork are expected for this position.

Responsabilités

• Assist the team leader with specialty cleaning jobs as promptly as possible.
• Drive company vehicles as needed for different jobs.
• May purchase and deliver equipment or materials to job sites.
• Perform visual observations and report hazards to management.
• Use cleaners and follow procedures for chemical safety and equipment usage.
• Operate various cleaning tools and equipment.
• Respond to specialty cleaning requests per work orders or scope of work.
• Assist coworkers as directed by management.
• Read MSDS and follow Safety Code of Conduct; maintain safety on all jobs.
• Perform clean, professional, up-to-code work.
• Communicate field observations and job statuses to management.
• Attend training and meetings as directed by management.
• Record all time and expenses in ProTec Connect Daily.

Summary

Responsible for providing specialty cleaning services in the Janitorial Department at ProTec. Your role will be to assist the team leader with tasks such as pressure washing, carpet cleaning, floor buffing and polishing, window cleaning, bulk item removal, and biohazard cleanup. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleaning equipment and tools, as well as performing regular janitorial duties such as disinfecting services, sweeping, mopping, and trash disposal as contracted by Homeowners Associations

• Responsible for assisting the team leader in completing specialty cleaning jobs as promptly as possible.
• Responsible for driving different company vehicles as needed for different types of jobs.
• Maybe also the Purchasing and delivering equipment or materials to job sites may be needed.
• Responsible for performing visual observation for cleaning needs on various building components and immediately reporting all hazardous and life safety concerns to company management.
• Ability to use various cleansers and follow procedures for using chemical cleansers and janitorial equipment.
• Ability to use various cleaning tools or equipment.
• Respond to specialty cleaning requests and perform duties per work orders or scope of work.
• Assist with coworkers' needs as directed by Management.
• Read all technical data and MSDS information to maintain high-level safety on jobs and follow the Safety Code of Conduct.

Requirements

Skills and Abilities

• General Janitorial: Experience necessary.
• Ability to use various cleansers, follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and janitorial equipment.
• Valid driver's license without any driving restrictions, and no DUI or DWI in the past five years.
• Experience in training others about using janitorial materials, material applications, and equipment.
• Ability to use technology, including software and smartphones.
• Self-starting capabilities, ability to work unsupervised.
• Reliable transportation is required.
• Must be available to work overtime, some nights, and some weekends on a rotation basis.
• Physical Abilities: The ability to lift 25 pounds, work at heights and able to work in extreme weather conditions, and continually climb, balance, stoop, and kneel sometimes for prolonged periods of time is required.
