Job summary

The Cleaning Squad® is seeking a dependable Janitor / Field Technician to perform janitorial, exterior cleaning, and specialty cleaning at commercial properties, public facilities, parks, and other customer locations. This is a hands-on, physically active field position with duties ranging from restroom cleaning to pressure washing and window cleaning.

Employees will receive training on company equipment and procedures before starting specialty work, and growth opportunities are available

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial cleaning at public, commercial, and municipal facilities.
• Clean and disinfect restrooms, sinks, toilets, fixtures, and other high-touch surfaces.
• Sweep, vacuum, mop, and clean interior and exterior areas.
• Empty trash receptacles and replace liners.
• Collect loose trash and debris from parks, sidewalks, parking areas, and surrounding grounds.
• Load, transport, and dispose of trash and cleaning debris as directed.
• Replenish restroom and facility consumables.
• Inspect assigned areas and report damage, vandalism, safety hazards, or unusual conditions.
• Maintain clean and orderly janitorial and storage areas.
• Pressure wash sidewalks, patios, walkways, and exterior surfaces; clean windows and gutters; high-reach cleaning.

The Cleaning Squad® is looking for a dependable, hardworking Janitor / Field Technician to perform janitorial, exterior cleaning, and specialty cleaning services at commercial properties, public facilities, parks, and other customer locations.

This is a hands-on, physically active field position. The work may include cleaning public restrooms and facilities, servicing city parks, collecting and hauling trash, pressure washing, window cleaning, gutter cleaning, and operating professional cleaning equipment.

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial cleaning at public, commercial, and municipal facilities
• Clean and disinfect restrooms, sinks, toilets, fixtures, and other high-touch surfaces
• Sweep, vacuum, mop, and clean interior and exterior areas
• Empty trash receptacles and replace liners
• Collect loose trash and debris from parks, sidewalks, parking areas, and surrounding grounds
• Load, transport, and dispose of trash and cleaning debris as directed
• Replenish restroom and facility consumables
• Inspect assigned areas and report damage, vandalism, safety hazards, or unusual conditions
• Maintain clean and orderly janitorial and storage areas

Specialty & Exterior Cleaning

Depending on training, experience, and project needs, this position may also perform:

• Pressure washing of sidewalks, patios, walkways, trash enclosures, and other exterior surfaces
• Window and glass cleaning
• Window screen cleaning
• Gutter and elevated debris removal
• High-reach dusting and cleaning
• Cleaning of elevated surfaces using professional extension and high-reach equipment
• Commercial vacuuming and specialty extraction work
• Post-construction and project-based cleanup
• Other specialty cleaning services provided by The Cleaning Squad®

Employees will receive training on company equipment and procedures before being assigned to specialty work.

Physical Requirements

This is an active position that requires the ability to:

• Stand and walk for extended periods
• Frequently bend, kneel, reach, push, pull, and carry equipment
• Lift and carry trash, cleaning supplies, hoses, tools, and equipment
• Perform work both indoors and outdoors
• Work in hot, cold, dusty, wet, or otherwise changing environmental conditions
• Safely operate cleaning tools and equipment after training
• Perform repetitive cleaning and physical tasks throughout a shift
• Work around public facilities, parks, trash collection areas, and active commercial properties

Some assignments may involve working at elevated heights or using high-reach equipment. Employees must follow all company safety procedures and may only operate equipment for which they have been properly trained and authorized.

Previous janitorial, custodial, facilities maintenance, pressure washing, window cleaning, construction, landscaping, or other hands-on field experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
