Role Overview

We are hiring frontline sales professionals to launch a product in the ophthalmic presbyopia market. The Specialty Sales Representative will educate on disease states, drive product launch and growth, and build relationships with key eye care customers. The role requires strategic thinking, operational precision, and a commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Build relationships with targeted physicians, optometrists & ophthalmologists.
  2. Drive sales performance and meet key metrics across the territory.
  3. Use analytical skills to prioritize customer engagements and extend product utilization.
  4. Understand ophthalmology/optometry practice functions and their impact on product prescribing.
  5. Maintain knowledge of eye care clinical information and treatment patterns.
  6. Develop actionable business plans aligned with sales activities.
  7. Ensure high standards of ethics and compliance.
  8. Maximize resources to achieve territory success.
  9. Collaborate with stakeholders including district managers, marketing, medical affairs, and others.
  10. Share best practices to improve performance.
  11. Adhere to PDMA and industry compliance guidelines.
  12. Adapt quickly to market changes and new information.
Additional Details

This position is field-based (remote), requiring residence within the assigned territory. Travel within the territory and to headquarters in San Diego, CA, up to 40-50% may be required.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field.
  • 2+ years of successful pharmaceutical sales experience.
  • Experience with pharmaceutical launches and eye care preferred.
Physical Demands & Work Environment

Primarily office and client site work, with some walking and lifting up to 20 lbs. Flexibility in schedule and travel is required. Accommodations available for disabilities.

Salary & Benefits

Salary range: $110,000 - $140,000 annually, based on experience. Additional incentives include bonuses, stock options, and comprehensive benefits.
