Job summary

Amgen Inc. in the United States is seeking a Specialty Representative to act as the primary contact for demand creation by executing marketing strategy and promoting Amgen products.

You will communicate clinical and economic benefits of our medicines and strive to achieve territory sales targets with guidance from your District Manager. This role includes servicing accounts, ensuring product access, resolving reimbursement issues, and developing territory plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required OR an Associate's degree plus 4+ years of sales or healthcare experience OR a high school diploma with 6+ years of sales or healthcare experience
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Ability to develop territory plans with the District Manager
• Experience in promoting products and executing marketing strategies

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary customer contact for demand creation by executing marketing strategy and promoting Amgen products
• Achieve territory sales by executing Plan of Action (POA) marketing strategies
• Service and manage accounts, ensure product access, resolve reimbursement issues, and maintain product contracts

What you will do

Amgen therapeutics have changed the practice of medicine, helping millions of people around the world in the fight against cancer, kidney disease, rheumatoid arthritis, and other serious illnesses. With a broad and deep pipeline of potential new medicines, Amgen remains committed to advancing science to dramatically improve people's lives. As a Specialty Representative, you will act as the primary customer contact for demand creation by executing marketing strategy and promoting Amgen products as led by the District Manager. In this strategic role you will provide current and comprehensive clinical knowledge of Amgen's products and effectively communicate the clinical and economic benefits of the products. As a sales leader you are expected to achieve territory sales by executing Plan of Action (POA) marketing strategies, which includes delivering branded sales messages, executing planned programs, scheduling and following up with medical educational programs, and achieving or exceeding sales targets. Specialty Representatives are also responsible for servicing and managing accounts, which includes ensuring product access, resolving/triage reimbursement issues, and maintaining product contracts. Additional responsibilities involve providing feedback on marketing strategy and effectiveness reviews of sales activities and territory analysis, in addition to developing territory plans with your District Manager.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree OR
• Associate's degree and 4 years of Sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare / scientific field that is not sales related OR

The expected annual salary range for Specialty Representative in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is $89,880.00 – $121,602.00. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
