Job summary

The Ohio State University is seeking a Specialty Practice Pharmacist to manage ambulatory pharmacy services at the East Ambulatory Care Center. You will collaborate with pharmacists, technicians and clinicians to optimize patient care and ensure regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include anticoagulation and lipid management programs, staff supervision and education, and participation in committees. Applicants must be Ohio-licensed pharmacists with board certification and residency training

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (Pharm.D./MS) and residency or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Experience coordinating ambulatory/pharmacy services is a plus.

Manages all aspects of the pharmacy ambulatory care in University Hospitals East Ambulatory Care Center. Participates in appropriate hospital and/or departmental committees relevant to practice area.**POSITION SUMMARY**This position functions to coordinate all aspects of patients' pharmaceutical needs in the patient care areas. Duties include but are not limited to: managing all aspects of pharmacy ambulatory services (i.e., anticoagulation services, and antihyperlipidemic services), ensures regulatory compliance in ambulatory setting, develops and implements new ambulatory pharmacy services, ensures fiscal viability of programs, assists with indigent care program. Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. Must be able to demonstrate medication dosing and identify pharmaceutical needs relative to the disease process and age. This position is also responsible for supervising Pharm.D. students, technicians, undergraduate and graduate student teaching, and providing educational programs for hospital staff (physicians, nurses and pharmacy staff).**Minimum Qualifications**Registered pharmacist in the State of Ohio; board certified; advanced degree (Pharm.D./MS) and residency; and/or equivalent experience preferred; or score a minimum of 40 points on Pharmacy?s Competency Based Advancement worksheet.## Additional Information:## Location:Outpatient Care East (0837)## Position Type:Regular## Scheduled Hours:40## **Shift:**First Shift***Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check.
