A leading pharmacy services provider is seeking a Specialty Pharmacy Technician to provide member support and navigate complex issues in therapy access. This fully remote role requires recent experience in specialty pharmacy and an active CPhT certification. Qualifications

  • 1+ recent years in specialty pharmacy, PBM, managed care, or mail-order pharmacy.
  • Active Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through PTCB or NHA.
  • Must provide CPhT license number.
  • Must submit an internet speed test.
  • Must have a private designated workspace.
  • Background check required.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary contact for specialty members and providers.
  • Respond to member inquiries via phone, chat, email, fax, and written correspondence.
  • Navigate complex issues such as site-of-care decisions and infusion scheduling.
  • Partner with Clinical Pharmacists on outreach efforts.
  • Help members understand therapy costs and coverage.

Training schedule: M-F, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM EST for 4 weeks

Job description:

  1. Member Support & Advocacy: Serve as the primary contact for specialty members and providers, guiding them through benefit details, prior authorizations, and therapy access with empathy and professionalism.
  2. Multichannel Communication: Respond to member inquiries via phone, chat, email, fax, and written correspondence, ensuring a compassionate and consistent experience.
  3. Therapy Coordination: Navigate complex issues such as site-of-care decisions, infusion scheduling, and specialty pharmacy fulfillment to remove barriers to treatment.
  4. Clinical Collaboration: Partner with Clinical Pharmacists on outreach efforts, including appointment scheduling, program enrollment, and adherence follow-ups.
  5. Coverage & Compliance: Help members understand therapy costs and coverage, coordinate with prescribers and financial assistance programs, and meet all productivity, quality, and compliance standards.
