Job summary

Cincinnati Children’s in Lincoln Building is seeking a Pharmacy Clerk for the Home Health Specialty Pharmacy to join our team on a full‑time basis. The role involves entering medication orders, labeling and preparing hazardous and nonhazardous meds for pharmacist review, and ensuring proper cold chain distribution for patient deliveries.

The position includes phone triage, arranging refills, handling insurance adjudication, and maintaining accurate inventory in our pharmacy system.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of work experience in a related job discipline.
• Must be PTCB certified and OH Board of Pharmacy certified.

Responsibilities

• Medication Orders - Enters prescriptions into pharmacy software for pharmacist review. Pulls and labels hazardous and nonhazardous medications for pharmacist verification.
• Cold Chain Distribution – Prepares packages for delivery following specific cold chain distribution procedures.
• Phone Triage - Performs outpatient phone triage.
• Refills – Contacts patients to schedule refills and conduct disease assessments.
• Insurance - Performs insurance adjudication and troubleshooting.
• Inventory - Receives and enters inventory into pharmacy software.
