Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support Hollings Cancer Center Outpatient Pharmacy and MUSC Mail Order Pharmacy. The role includes data entry, claims processing, medication fulfillment, mailing, and inventory management to ensure uninterrupted patient care.

Open to candidates with a High School degree or equivalent and 0-6 months of experience. Current SCBOP registration and certification (PTCB/ExCPT) are required or to be obtained.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Degree or Equivalent.
• Work Experience: 0-6 months.
• Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician by the State of South Carolina Board of Pharmacy (SCBOP) is required and must be maintained.
• Must obtain and maintain Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB) or ExCPT certification.

Responsibilities

• Data entry.
• Prescription claims processing.
• Medication fulfillment and mailing.
• Point-of-sale activities.
• Inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and maintaining stock.
• Manage shipping exceptions and notify patients of delays.
