Position Specialty Pharmacy Technician – You'll be responsible for interpreting and entering prescription data in our pharmacy system, answering incoming calls, and completing outbound calls to/from patients, physicians and pharmacists while ensuring a high level of customer service and productivity. You will discover training, support, and career opportunities from a Fortune 5 leader.

This role is equally challenging and rewarding. You'll work within multiple computer systems simultaneously as you respond to questions or provide medication details/clinical information in a fast-paced, high-volume environment where members rely on us to deliver important medications accurately and efficiently.

Position Schedule: Monday through Friday with 8-hour shifts between 7:00am–7:00pm CST

Primary Responsibilities
  • Verify appropriate and accurate patient information
  • Enter prescription data into the pharmacy system
  • Contact patients, pharmacists, and providers to resolve issues
  • Other assignments and projects as needed
  • Maintain proficiency and quality as standardized by the department

Required Qualifications
  • Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Texas
  • 1+ years of pharmacy prescription processing experience
  • Intermediate proficiency with computer navigation and Microsoft programs such as Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint
  • Currently located in the state of Texas
  • Ability to be flexible to work between 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM Monday through Friday; shift will be consistent once determined. Overtime may be required on weekdays and weekends as needed
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
Preferred Qualifications
  • Specialty pharmacy experience
  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT or NHA)

*All Telecommuters will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy.

Pay is based on factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, and additional benefits. The hourly pay range for this role is $16.00 to $27.69 per hour, based on full-time employment. Benefits may include a comprehensive package, incentive programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution, subject to eligibility. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
