Job summary

Singing River Pascagoula Hospital is seeking a Specialty Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in dispensing medications and labeling prescriptions. You will ensure accuracy and compliance with Mississippi Board of Pharmacy standards, and interact with patients, clinicians, and SRHS staff in a professional manner.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma (pharmacy tech program preferred) and pharmacy technician registration in Mississippi.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of a Pharmacy Technician training program preferred.
• Registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the Mississippi State Board of Pharmacy required.
• Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (PTCB or NHA) preferred; must maintain certification.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patients receive the correct medication and package and label prescriptions.
• Comply with MS Board of Pharmacy standards and governing guidance.
• Establish strong relationships with patients, clinicians, and SRHS staff.
• Work under supervision of a licensed pharmacist and follow procedures.
