Salary Range: $55,000-65,000

Position Summary

The Specialty Pharmacy Program Analyst position works in collaboration with the Program Manager to provide support for assigned manufacturer program(s) and therapies. The analyst will be a key contact interacting with the manufacturer, HUB and case management teams, prescribers, prescriber office staff, and patients. The role will require a high sense of urgency and the ability to answer questions quickly or respond/resolve issues that may arise. This support includes providing concise and accurate patient status information, participating in and facilitating manufacturer status update meetings, ensuring manufacturer contract obligations are met, and providing prompt follow-up on inquiries from assigned manufacturer(s). The analyst will work as part of the account team to build strong manufacturer relationships and support internal therapy teams by assisting in processing orders and handling escalated cases as needed. The analyst will be actively engaged with the manufacturer program manager and therapy team to ensure program requirements are met and the program operates as designed.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Training
  • Bachelor's degree, or in place of a degree, 4+ years of relevant experience preferably in Specialty Pharmacy
  • Ability to successfully work with a diverse customer base both externally and internally, including manufacturer account representatives, MD office staff, and patients.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in providing excellent customer service to internal and external customers and react with a strong sense of urgency when needed to prevent or resolve issues.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and support other team members.
  • Ability to manage intake of issues via phone and email, segregate urgent from non-urgent.
  • Attention to detail and flexibility to changing priorities.
  • Quick problem-solving and clear communication of results in a timely fashion.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and adhere to response times for manufacturer inquiries.
  • Proficiency in multitasking and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Pharmacy Technician License (Preferred)
  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification (Preferred)
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel (Required)
Essential Job Duties
  • Provide concise and accurate patient status information from the system or via collaboration with team members to assigned manufacturers.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to expedite patient processing as needed.
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve escalated issues related to complex reimbursement.
  • Serve as point of contact for manufacturer field reps, MD offices, and patients for all assigned orders.
  • Lead weekly (or more or less frequently as needed) calls with manufacturers in conjunction with the Program Manager.
  • Perform manufacturer-specific enhanced services such as specialized welcome calls or contractual timed patient calls as directed by the Program Manager/Therapy Team Manager.
  • Identify patients with potential delays in shipment and strategize to expedite or escalate as necessary.
  • Prepare and review internal reports for assigned therapy and manufacturer as requested.
  • Attend scheduled meetings with manufacturers, program managers, and therapy teams.
