Job summary

Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center seeks a Clinical Pharmacy Assistant (Specialty Pharmacy) for a temporary role in the Pharmacy department. The position supports daily operational and clinical activities under the Specialty Pharmacy Manager, including direct patient care, financial clearance, and dispensing, with shipments arranged to clinics.

Starting pay is $28.31 per hour. Requires a high school diploma or GED, 3 years of hospital/healthcare pharmacy technician experience, NYS

Qualifications

• Must be a Pharmacy Technician with hospital/healthcare/pharmacy experience.
• National Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or ExCPT required.
• NYS Registration as a Pharmacy Technician required.

Responsibilities

• Support operational and clinical pharmacy activities per Specialty Pharmacy Manager directions.
• Coordinate prescription needs for assigned clinics including financial clearance and prior authorizations.
• Assist in dispensing, arranging shipments, and other duties to optimize pharmacy services.
• Serve as liaison between patients, clinics, and pharmacy staff to reduce administrative burden.
