Job summary

Albertsons Companies in Boise is seeking a Pharmacy Technician, Specialty Care to support patients starting and maintaining therapy on Specialty Pharmaceutical products. You will coordinate benefits investigations, authorizations, and the acquisition of SP medications across our pharmacies and mail order, ensuring accurate dispensing and patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician certification required.
• Two years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician preferred.
• Experience with Albertsons or Safeway Pharmacies preferred.
• Experience obtaining prior authorizations from third-party payers.
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Benefits investigation – determine coverage, obtain prior authorizations, communicate with patients.
• Care coordination – buy, bill, and administer SP products in company pharmacies and mail order.
• Therapy support – track patients on SP products, manage refill reminders, questionnaires and just-in-time ordering.
