Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Specialty Pharmacist to provide high-touch support to patients with complex diseases, enrolling and retaining patients, delivering exceptional service, and acting as a trusted resource throughout their therapy journey.

Responsibilities include resolving drug-related issues, educating patients and healthcare providers, coordinating clinical and billing projects, contributing to formulary and compliance efforts, and expanding knowledge through research and writing.

Qualifications

• PharmD degree (ACPE-accredited) or BS Pharmacy with recent pharmacist experience.
• Mississippi pharmacist license in good standing.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
• Preferred: MS Pharmacy and/or Board certification.
• 1+ years of pharmacist experience (hospital setting preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide high-touch support to patients with complex specialty diseases.
• Educate patients and healthcare providers on therapy and adherence.
• Coordinate clinical and billing projects related to specialty medications.
• Contribute to formulary and compliance efforts.
• Expand knowledge as a specialty medication expert through research and writing.
