Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking an onsite Specialty Pharmacist to support patients with complex therapies. You will educate patients, coordinate with care teams, and manage prior authorizations while ensuring safety and adherence. The role emphasizes high-impact, patient-centered outcomes in a hospital/pharmacy setting.

Qualifications

ACPE-accredited PharmD preferred or BS in Pharmacy with recent pharmacist experience.
Active Maryland pharmacist license in good standing.
Preferred MS Pharmacy and/or Board certification.

Responsibilities

Review and manage specialty therapies for complex or high-cost conditions.
Provide patient education, adherence coaching, and safety monitoring.
Coordinate care with providers, payers, and manufacturers for access.
Oversee prior authorizations and utilization management per requirements.
Monitor therapy effectiveness, lab values, and outcomes data.
Support REMS, accreditation, and reporting initiatives.
