Job summary

JobRx, Inc. in Florida seeks a licensed pharmacist under the Pharmacist-In-Charge to ensure accurate dispensing and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include answering calls, evaluating prescriptions, training staff, and maintaining patient confidentiality. Proficiency with Word/Excel/Outlook and a commitment to quality care are essential.

Qualifications

  • A valid Pharmacist License, in good standing. (RPh Florida required).
  • Two years minimum of pharmacy experience; specialty pharmacy experience preferred.
  • Ability to become licensed in multiple states as required.
  • Familiarity with Word, Excel, Outlook; knowledge of drug laws.

Responsibilities

  • Resolve pharmacy service complaints and promote a positive customer experience.
  • Answer customer and doctor calls; initial and final evaluation of prescriptions.
  • Practice in accordance with local, state, and federal rules and regulations.
  • Contribute to and support effective teamwork; attend pertinent meetings.
  • Assist in training and developing other pharmacy personnel.
  • Follow company policies and protect HIPAA confidentiality.
  • Answer drug information questions as requested.

Summary

Under the direction of the Pharmacist-In-Charge, practice in accordance with local, state, and federal rules and regulations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Responsible for participating in resolving pharmacy service related complaints and concerns in accordance with company policy and promoting a positive customer experience.
  • Accountable for answering customer phone calls, doctor phone calls, and initial and final evaluation of prescriptions.
  • Responsible for practicing in accordance with local, state, and federal rules and regulations.
  • Contribute to and support an atmosphere of effective teamwork.
  • Attend pertinent meetings when necessary.
  • Assist in training and developing other pharmacy personnel.
  • Follow and aid in enforcement of all company policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for keeping abreast of developments in the professional field.
  • Respect and maintain confidentiality guidelines of HIPAA.
  • Answer drug information questions as requested.
Education and Experience
  • A valid Pharmacist License, in good standing. (RPh Florida required)
  • Ability to become licensed in multiple states as required.
  • Specialty pharmacist certification is preferred.
  • Two years minimum of pharmacy experience. Specialty pharmacy experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Knowledge of laws pertaining to storage, recordkeeping, and dispensing of drugs

  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, patiently and courteously.
  • Ability to handle multiple activities or interruptions at once.
  • Focused team player, who can work in conjunction with pharmacists, other departments, customers, and management.
  • Work independently with little supervision and meet daily deadlines.
  • Ability to perform repetitious work accurately.
Work Environment/Physical Demands

This position is in a typical office environment which requires prolonged sitting and standing in front of a computer. In addition, this position requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office equipment, including the operation of standard computer and phone equipment. May have occasional high stress when dealing with customers/clients and employees. This position may be required to work long hours.
