Brief overview:

An experienced candidate applies theoretical knowledge practically, with in-depth understanding of healthcare practices. They perform a full range of responsibilities independently, possess broad job knowledge, analyze diverse problems, and determine solutions.

Responsibilities include:

  • Proficiency in PFC II skills plus specialized technical knowledge (e.g., procedural/surgical areas).
  • Complex care coordination, including OR procedures.
  • Performing 12 Lead EKGs.
  • Scheduling, processing, and tracking cardiac device monitors remotely.
  • Performing compression stockings measurements.
  • Assisting with cardiovascular procedures in clinic.
  • Monitoring and reporting lab results, blood pressure, and weight logs for medication management.
  • Scheduling insurance authorizations and care coordination for complex procedures.
  • Scheduling surgeries and assisting with procedure coordination.
  • Understanding imaging modalities like radiology, Echo, catheterization, and ultrasound.
  • Coordinating hospital discharge appointments.
  • Managing electronic prior authorizations for cardiac medications.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Medical Assistant Certificate/Diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum three years healthcare experience.
  • BLS certification.
