Job summary

Dignity Health’s Pacific Central Coast Health Centers in California are seeking a Neurosurgery Nurse Practitioner to deliver high-quality neurosurgical care for patients with neurological conditions.

You will perform neurosurgical consultations, inpatient rounds, assist in surgery, and support surgeon-led and independent clinics. You will assess, diagnose, treat, order tests, prescribe medications, and educate patients and families. California RN/APRN licensure is required.

Qualifications

• Master's of Nursing required and active RN license in CA.
• Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license CA required.
• Strong communication, critical thinking and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform neurosurgical consultations and inpatient rounds.
• Assist in neurosurgical procedures and perioperative care.

*Job Summary and Responsibilities*

As our Neurosurgery Nurse Practitioner, you will help patients suffering from neurological or neurosurgical disorders manage their acute and chronic conditions so they can achieve better health through comprehensive, high-quality neurosurgical care.

Every day you will perform neurosurgical consultations, round on inpatients, assist in surgery, and support both surgeon-led and independent clinics. You will be expected to assess, diagnose, and treat patients, order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and provide extensive patient education and counseling.

To be successful in this role, you will possess the clinical training to perform neurosurgical evaluations and the collaborative skills to work effectively with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure efficient, patient-centered care.
