Job summary

Food Lion in Winston-Salem, NC is seeking a Store Associate to provide quality customer service within the Center Store (Grocery) Department. You will help maintain standards, maximize sales through service, and minimize shrink by following the standard practice.

Responsibilities include maintaining a welcoming shopping environment, assisting customers, managing inventory, and ensuring proper shelf conditions.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to use technical information to solve problems.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Provide fast, friendly, and accurate customer service to create a positive shopping experience.
• Courteous and helpful to other associates.
• Maintain proper Specialty Merchandise levels according to standard practice and manage backroom inventory.
• Maintain shelf allocations according to plan-o-grams.
• Ensure back stock is properly maintained and that new items are placed correctly.
• Follow policies and guidelines for ordering, receiving, preparation, conditioning and displaying merchandise.
• Use company tools such as ACIS and CAO for inventory and ordering tasks.
• Adhere to company guidelines, policies and standard practice.
• Comply with Food Safety and Workplace Safety guidelines.
