Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking a team member to support the Specialty department, including receiving and preparing product, maintaining the floor and displays, and assisting with customer service. You will work to uphold health and safety regulations and Whole Foods Market standards.

The role emphasizes friendly, efficient service, merchandising, and daily operational tasks in a fast-paced environment. Flexible schedule including nights and weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• No prior retail experience required.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to work in wet and cold environment.
• Compliance with Weights & Measures, health and sanitation and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Delight customers with consistent and delicious food.
• Engage in positive, proactive selling.
• Maintain fresh and appealing displays; keep cases and shelves stocked.
• Check products to meet quality standards.
• Monitor spoilage and waste to minimize costs.
• Assist with sampling; keep areas full, clean and appealing.
• Maintain back stock in good order.
• Provide excellent customer service and suggestive selling.
• Perform opening, mid, and closing duties; ensure accurate signs and pricing.
• Report safety hazards and violations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
