Job summary

Whole Foods Market seeks a member for the Specialty team to receive and prepare product, maintain the Specialty floor and displays, and assist customers. The role emphasizes friendly, efficient service, adherence to SOPs, and safety regulations within a team environment.

Responsibilities include maintaining displays, assisting with sampling, monitoring stock, and supporting store programs. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and a flexible schedule are required.

Qualifications

• No prior retail experience required.
• Ability to learn basic knowledge of all products carried in department.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to meet customer service expectations in all interactions.
• Willingness to follow directions, procedures and safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Surprises and delights customers with consistent and delicious food.
• Engages in positive and proactive selling.
• Maintains fresh, appealing displays by keeping cases and shelves clean and stocked.
• Checks product to ensure it meets quality standards.
• Monitors spoilage and waste to minimize department expenses.
• Assists with sampling programs and keeps sample areas clean.
• Maintains back stock in good order.
• Communicates market conditions to customers.
• Ensures sanitation, temperature logs, and safety procedures are followed.
• Reports safety hazards and any violations promptly.
• Performs opening, mid, and closing duties and ensures accurate signs and pricing.
