Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking entry-level Team Members for the Specialty department to support product preparation, display maintenance, and customer service. The role emphasizes friendly, efficient service and adherence to health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities include maintaining attractive displays, assisting with sampling, and ensuring proper stock, pricing, and cleanliness. Prior retail experience is not required, with wage range $17.00-$25.40 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Surprises and delights customers with consistent and delicious food.
• Engages in positive and proactive selling.
• Ensures a fresh and appealing display by keeping cases and shelves clean and well-stocked.
• Checks product to ensure it meets WFM quality standards.
• Monitors spoilage and supply waste to minimize impact on department expenses.
• Assists with sampling program, keeping sample areas full, clean and appealing.
• Maintains back stock in good order.
• Accesses information about market conditions and communicates to customers.
• Ensures temperature, sanitation and sweep logs are completed.
• Provides excellent customer service, addresses needs of customers in a timely and effective manner and models suggestive selling techniques.
• Maximizes sales potential through proper prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising product.
• Follows and complies with health, sanitation, and safe work practices.
• Maintains a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment; maintains equipment.
• Performs opening, mid, and closing duties; ensures accuracy of signs and pricing.
• Reports safety hazards and violations.
• Performs other duties as assigned by leadership.
