Job summary

Whole Foods Market IP. L.P. in New York (Town of Rye area) is seeking a Team Member in the Specialty department to support product receiving, prep, display, and customer service.

You will help maintain the Specialty floor, assist with sampling, and ensure quality and safety standards are met. The role focuses on friendly, proactive selling, attractive displays, and strong collaboration with store teams. Prior retail experience is not required, and flexible scheduling may be involved to support

Responsibilities

• Surprises and delights customers with consistent and delicious food.
• Engages in positive and proactive selling.
• Maintains fresh and appealing displays by keeping cases and shelves clean and well-stocked.
• Checks product to ensure it meets WFM quality standards.
• Monitors spoilage and waste to minimize department expenses.
• Assists with sampling program, keeping sample areas full, clean and appealing.
• Maintains back stock in good order.
• Accesses information about market conditions and communicates to customers.
• Ensures temperature, sanitation and logs are completed.
• Provides excellent customer service and models suggestive selling techniques.
• Maximizes sales potential through proper prep, storage and merchandising.
• Follows health, sanitation, and safe work practices.
• Maintains a clean and sanitary working/shopping environment and equipment.
• Performs opening, mid, and closing duties; ensures accurate pricing.
• Reports safety hazards and violations.
