Responsibilities

• Surprises and delights customers with consistent and delicious food.
• Engages in positive and proactive selling.
• Keeps cases and shelves clean and well-stocked for a fresh display.
• Checks product to meet WFM quality standards.
• Monitors spoilage and waste to protect department costs.
• Assists with sampling program and keeps sample areas clean and appealing.
• Maintains back stock in good order.
• Communicates market conditions to customers.
• Ensures sanitation, temperature, and logs are maintained; arrives on time and ready to work.
• Provides excellent service and uses suggestive selling; answers phones courteously.
• Optimizes sales through proper prepping, storing, rotating, stocking and merchandising.
• Follows procedures including health, sanitation and safety standards.
• Maintains a clean, sanitary work and shopping environment and equipment.
• Performs opening, mid, and closing duties and checks pricing accuracy.
• Reports safety hazards and violations promptly.
• Performs other duties as assigned by store or leadership.
