The primary role of the Dental Assistant is to support the success of the clinicians through effective delivery of the Perfect Patient Experience (PPE), thereby creating a Patient for Life (PFL). Dental assistants perform a variety of patient care, office, and laboratory duties. They prepare patients for oral examinations and assist dental professionals in providing treatment to teeth, mouth, and gums. Effective communication and teamwork are essential.
Responsibilities
- Perform functions in accordance with state regulations.
- Participate actively in PPE to ensure patient focus and satisfaction.
- Escort patients and introduce them to team members as appropriate.
- Coordinate with front and back office teams for smooth scheduling.
- Maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment.
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments following infection control guidelines.
- Prepare patients and assist the dentist during procedures.
- Complete radiographs and intra-oral pictures efficiently.
- Prepare tray setups and replenish supplies as needed.
- Keep patients' mouths dry during procedures.
- Instruct patients on postoperative and oral health care.
- Document patient information accurately in digital charts.
- Support patient care by presenting treatment records and consents.
- Maintain equipment according to manufacturer’s guidelines.
- Work with the Lead Dental Assistant to manage supplies.
- Learn and operate relevant technology.
- Participate in team meetings and uphold company values.
- Model professional standards and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; additional training as mandated by state.
- Valid licenses and certifications as required.
- For specialty roles, a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.
Preferred Qualifications
- One-year certificate from an accredited program or equivalent experience.

Compensation: $18.75-$26.25/hour
